Unlike digital techniques, this process requires the production of a tool (die), which is used under high temperature and pressure to apply metallic foil or create a relief impression.
The result is an extremely precise, durable and premium effect – either as a shiny metallic element or as a raised, debossed or embossed surface that can be felt by touch.
A wide range of foils is available – from gold, silver and bronze to various color shades such as blue, red or purple. Metallic finishes are the most commonly used, often referred to as foil stamping.

There are virtually no limitations when choosing paper – printing is possible on standard, recycled and creative (design) papers. For creative papers, lamination is usually not recommended as it would cover the natural texture.
