The Business Card You Will Be Happy to Hand to Your Business Partner or Client. Choose a Group!

A Business Card You’ll Be Proud to Hand to Your Business Partner or Client!

A business card is one of the most powerful marketing tools, as with good and thoughtful preparation, it can bring consistent sales results.

Despite its small size, a business card plays an important role in presenting a company or individual to the market. That’s why it’s necessary to take the time and carefully think about how you want to present yourself in the market before preparing the graphic design. It’s important that with your business card, you tell your story and present yourself in a unique way.

We print them either on one or both sides. If you want to include more information and graphic elements, the second option is more suitable.

Business cards are most often cut into standard sizes: 90x50 mm, 85x54 mm, 85x55 mm, 50x50 mm, although very few choose a different size, and even if they do, the deviations are minimal. In our offer, you can also find round and folded business cards. The edges of the business cards are generally cut at an angle, but you can also opt for rounded edges, which are cut with a die-cutting machine.
The fact is, the format doesn’t play a huge role in the visual effect, so those who want to stand out or be different use other methods, mainly focusing on different ways of finishing the business cards, such as lamination, digital or traditional thermography, deep printing, embossed 3D UV partial varnish, printing on special creative papers that differ from standard papers mainly in color and texture.

To make your decision easier, we’ve divided business cards into several categories, where you can read a brief description. If you have any additional questions, we are available by phone, email, or online support every weekday from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Business Cards - Standard

These business cards are the most affordable and also the simplest in appearance. Based on our experience, we could call the STANDARD BUSINESS CARD a card that is printed and laminated with matte lamination on both sides, on coated paper with a weight of 350 g/m².

Less commonly, business cards are laminated with Gloss lamination, chosen mainly by those who prefer a shiny effect.

For some time now, Soft-Touch lamination has also been very popular, which, although visually matte, feels velvety and refined to the touch.

The papers used for printing standard business cards are coated, uncoated, or recycled papers, in weights from 300 g/m² to 400 g/m².

You can choose from standard formats like 85x54 mm, 90x50 mm, or square 50x50 mm, as well as round ones with a diameter of 50 mm. For those who want to include more information on their business card, we also offer folded business cards in open formats of 54x170 mm or 85x108 mm.

Business Cards - 3D UV Spot

To create a business card that “impresses,” it’s necessary to meet several criteria, such as content, graphics, paper choice, finishing… One option for finishing is definitely 3D UV spot printing with a transparent embossed varnish.

3D UV spot varnishing is a printing process where selected graphic elements on the business card are additionally printed with a transparent, glossy varnish. The varnish highlights specific graphic elements, making them shine. Since the thickness of the varnish layer is about 380 μm, you can easily feel it under your fingers.

Business cards with this type of finishing are unique and sophisticated. This finishing option is mainly suitable for printing on smooth coated papers in weights from 300 to 400 g/m².

To achieve a glossy effect, the business cards are first laminated with matte, anti-scratch, or soft-touch lamination. If lamination is not chosen, the varnish effect may not be as pronounced, and the graphic elements may not stand out as desired.

Like printing, 3D UV spot varnishing can be done on one or both sides, and multiple graphic elements can be varnished. The only limitation is the thickness of the lines you want to varnish. Keep in mind that the UV gloss varnish has a tolerance of approximately ± 0.5 mm, so it is not recommended to apply varnish to very small text or thin lines, as perfect registration cannot be guaranteed.

Business Cards - 3D Metallic Foil

Of course, there are also different special effects with which you can achieve a WOW EFFECT on your business card. One of them is definitely digital heat printing with metallic foil, which allows you to achieve incredible visual effects that are difficult to replicate with traditional printing. The luxurious and attractive effects of embossed metallic foil undoubtedly have a unique visual impact that demands attention.

Digital heat printing with foil is a relatively new printing technology or finishing technique in which selected graphic elements are additionally printed with gold, silver, or metallic foil in various colors. For this premium finishing option, smooth, matte paper surfaces are needed, which are achieved by pre-laminating.

Unlike traditional heat printing, digital foil printing is much faster and cheaper as it doesn’t require expensive dies, making it suitable for small and medium print runs.

Compared to classic heat printing, it’s important to highlight that this technology has certain limitations. As mentioned earlier, smooth paper is required (pre-lamination of the paper), and attention must be paid to the graphic elements you want to print.

It is also very important to consider that digital foil printing is basically an embossed printing technique (about 0.4 mm thick), so we advise against using very small fonts and thin lines, as the print may not be sharp enough. Read more

Business Cards - Creative

Creative business cards are printed on so-called creative-design papers. These papers stand out either in color or texture. Anyone who chooses this paper definitely wants to be unique. Creative papers can generally be divided into colored, textured, and metallic papers. Among the most popular are metallic papers, which give the business card something extra.

With these business cards, two things need to be emphasized. The first is the lamination of the cards, as this option is not available. Lamination would ruin exactly what made you choose the creative paper – its texture, metallic effect, shine, etc. If laminated, for example, business cards printed on metallic gold paper would lose their golden sheen and achieve the opposite effect from what you desired.

The second thing to consider is the color coverage. The larger the color coverage, the less you’ll see the original color or texture of the paper, so we suggest avoiding large color areas in your design to preserve the paper’s natural beauty. Creative business cards can be printed on one side or both sides.

Business Cards - Premium HOT foil / Embossed

In the Premium group, you can choose business cards enhanced with classic heat or deep printing. Unlike digital heat printing, classic heat or deep printing requires the creation of a die, which is used to apply metallic foil to the material at high temperatures or emboss the material to create a raised pattern. The final result is a unique and refined glossy metallic graphic element or embossed surface on the paper.

The color palette for heat printing foils is very diverse – from black to various shades of blue, red, and purple, as well as metallic foils like bronze, gold, and silver. These are also the most commonly used, so you will often come across terms like gold printing or foil printing.

There are no restrictions regarding the choice of paper, as heat printing can be applied to both standard and creative-design papers, as well as recycled ones. The business cards can also be laminated if desired, but if you choose creative-design papers, lamination is not possible.

The third option you can choose is heat printing on black paper. Black paper with metallic gold foil and an embossed logo is definitely a combination that cannot go unnoticed!

Business Cards - Multiloft

Finally, we need to mention "sandwich business cards" or Multiloft business cards, which are chosen by those who want a thicker business card. These are made from multiple layers of paper that are pressed together to create a business card almost 1 mm thick. The center of the business card is available in various colors. These can be printed on one side or both sides, but lamination is not possible for Multiloft business cards!

Due to the large amount of information such as the logo, company name, address, phone numbers, fax, email, caution is needed when designing and choosing typography. Simple fonts in one color, most often black or gray, are recommended, not too large and not too small (7 pt). The use of light fonts made from process colors may be more readable on screens than in print, so caution is advised here!

Given the natural color of the paper, we recommend avoiding large color coverage in the design, as this will preserve the paper’s natural beauty. We advise against using dark colors because the specific nature of the paper and the thickness of the ink layer may cause it to crack or have jagged edges when cut.
