Glossy, shiny, brilliant and eye-catching – why not?
3D UV spot varnishing is a special finishing technique where selected graphic elements are enhanced with raised transparent varnish. This creates a glossy and tactile effect (Look & Feel) on selected areas, adding a premium touch to the business card.
Business cards with this finishing are unique, elegant and visually highly attractive, making them an excellent choice for brand presentation when you want to make a strong first impression.
They are best suited for printing on smooth coated papers in weights from 300 to 400 g/m².
For the best final result, business cards should be laminated before varnishing with matt, anti-scratch or soft-touch lamination, as this enhances contrast and varnish visibility.
If lamination is not selected, the UV varnish may be less visible and the final effect less pronounced.
3D UV varnishing can be applied on one or both sides, as it does not leave marks on the reverse side, which is a major advantage.
Multiple graphic elements can be varnished, with the main limitation being the line thickness of the elements you wish to highlight.
Due to application tolerance (approx. ±0.5 mm), use on very small text or thin lines is not recommended.
