3D Sleeking invitations are a special type of invitations that are not printed with traditional CMYK printing, but rather certain parts of the print, such as text, logos, or decorative elements, are printed with metallic foil.Sleeking is a modern digital technique that allows for precise and even application of metallic foil onto papers with an appropriate surface, which does not need to be laminated.Sleeking invitations are printed on high-quality voluminous paper with a velvet matte surface, brand Gardapat 13, in a weight of 250 g/m², available in white or slightly beige color. This material ensures an adequate surface for precise printing of relief UV varnish, onto which metallic foil in various color shades is applied with heat and pressure.Unlike traditional techniques, this technology is significantly faster and more affordable, as it does not require the creation of expensive molds and is therefore suitable for small and medium print runs.
In comparison to traditional heat printing, it is important to highlight that this technology has certain limitations. It is crucial to take into account that digital foil printing is essentially a relief – raised printing (approx. 0.4 mm), so we advise against using very small fonts and thin lines, as the print may not be sharp enough.
