Metallized labels (gold and silver foil)

Attract attention with metallized labels printed on gold or silver self-adhesive foil. These premium labels are an excellent choice for products where a prestigious packaging appearance is important, such as alcoholic beverages, luxury goods, cosmetics, personal care products or cleaning products.

Metallized materials are most commonly printed in full colour, using a white underprint. This allows the metallic surface of the material to be fully covered and enables accurate colour reproduction when printing self-adhesive roll labels.

In areas where the label is not printed, the metallic material remains visible in gold or silver colour. This effect gives the label a distinctive premium appearance similar to hot foil stamping or metallic foil.

In many designs, graphic elements such as the logo, product name or decorative elements are intentionally left unprinted. In these areas the gold or silver metallic base of the self-adhesive material remains visible.

This technique also allows the creation of various metallic colour effects, such as metallic red, green or blue. The metallic effect is achieved by printing colours transparently rather than with full coverage (for example 30%). Colour gradients can also be used to create impressive visual effects.

Metallized self-adhesive materials are available in metallic gold or silver with matte or glossy finish. Such labels are very popular for premium products where a strong visual impact of the packaging is important.

Materials for printing self-adhesive labels and stickers on roll

Self-adhesive materials for printing labels and stickers on roll are specially designed materials with an adhesive layer on the backside, supplied in rolls with winding up to approximately 2000 meters.

✔ paper and synthetic materials ✔ different levels of durability ✔ suitable for all industries ✔ premium visual effects

Incorrect material selection can lead to poor adhesion, label peeling or a weaker product appearance.
That is why the right choice is crucial for durability, protection and the final impression on the shelf.

Paper materials

Paper materials are the most cost-effective and most commonly used option for roll labels and stickers.

  • ✔ coated paper (Coated Gloss)
  • ✔ uncoated and recycled papers
  • ✔ standard and deep-freeze adhesives

Suitable for food, packaging, promotional products and use in standard conditions.

Synthetic materials

Synthetic labels and stickers are designed for demanding usage conditions, where high resistance is required.

  • ✔ PP / BOPP (white, transparent)
  • ✔ PET materials
  • ✔ silver metallic materials

Resistant to water, oils, chemicals and mechanical damage – ideal for cosmetics, industry and bottles.

Design papers (wine, beer)

Special design and creative papers are intended for products where premium appearance and tactile feel are essential.

  • ✔ textured papers
  • ✔ water-resistant protection
  • ✔ premium look and feel

Frequently asked questions about label materials (FAQ)

Which material is suitable for cosmetics, oils and water?

For products such as cosmetics, gels, oils and cleaning products, we recommend PP (polypropylene) – white or transparent. It is a durable synthetic material that maintains stability even in demanding usage conditions.

Such labels are resistant to moisture, oils and chemicals and ensure strong adhesion even on PE and PP packaging. Due to their wide temperature resistance range, they are suitable for everyday products as well as more demanding applications.

Which material should I choose for food and general packaging?

For food, logistics and retail, the most balanced choice is semi-gloss paper, which provides high print contrast and excellent readability even for smaller elements.

It is a cost-effective solution that performs well across a wide range of products where extreme conditions such as moisture, oils or mechanical stress are not present.

Which material is best for wine and beer?

For wine, craft beer and other premium beverages, we recommend textured design papers that give the product a premium and natural appearance.

These materials feature a subtle texture, good moisture resistance and maintain their appearance even in refrigerators or ice buckets. They are an excellent choice for projects where visual presentation plays a key role in sales.

Which material is the most durable?

The highest level of durability is provided by synthetic materials (PP, PET), which are designed for demanding environments. They are resistant to moisture, chemicals, UV exposure and mechanical damage, making them ideal for industrial use, cosmetics and products exposed to external conditions.

Are labels suitable for low temperatures?

Yes, but it is important to select the right combination of material and adhesive. Paper materials usually allow application from around 0 °C, while synthetic solutions perform well at lower temperatures. For freezing or very low temperatures, special materials and adhesives are recommended.

What does permanent adhesive mean?

Permanent adhesive means that once applied, the label remains permanently attached and cannot be removed without damage. This solution is suitable for most packaging, logistics and products where long-term durability of labeling is required.

How can I test the right material before ordering?

Since materials can behave differently depending on packaging and usage conditions, we recommend a sample label print. This allows you to test adhesion, durability and the final appearance under real conditions before placing a larger order.
