Label test print

When developing a new label, it is important to see and test the final result before starting large-scale production. Label test printing allows exactly that – a real sample produced under the same conditions as serial production.

When printing self-adhesive roll labels, a test sample is essential as it allows you to verify all key label properties before ordering larger quantities.

Samples are printed on the selected label material, using chosen colors, protective finishes and the appropriate adhesive. This allows you to evaluate the visual appearance, print quality, surface durability and adhesion on your packaging.

This is the most reliable way to avoid unexpected results in larger print runs and to ensure that the final label fully meets your expectations.

Test printing is especially recommended when developing new products, working with advanced materials or choosing between different design options.

You can compare different designs, color variations or finishing options (lamination, varnish, etc.) in one step and make the right decision based on a real sample.

Samples are delivered on material with a width of 320 mm, without final die-cutting. The purpose of test printing is to evaluate print quality, colors, material and adhesive – all key characteristics of the final label.

Why choose a label test print?

Test printing allows you to reliably verify the design and material before committing to larger quantities. This gives you a realistic preview of how the label will look on your product.

If you want to check the final appearance and print quality, you can order a label test print and ensure a reliable basis for further production.

Labels by shape

The use of self-adhesive roll labels is very wide. They are commonly used for labeling bottles, plastic containers, food products, cosmetics, cardboard packaging, promotional products and many other types of packaging.

When choosing labels, besides the material and adhesive, the shape of the label is also very important, as it influences the appearance of the product, the readability of information and overall brand recognition. A properly selected label shape can significantly improve product presentation on store shelves.

The most common choice is the rectangular or square label, as it provides the largest printing area for logos, product information, barcodes and other important elements.

Rectangular labels are especially suitable for elongated products such as bottles, packaging, tubes or various packaged goods. Because of their simple geometry they are suitable for both manual and automatic label application.

Round or oval labels are usually selected when labeling products with similar shapes such as jar lids, honey jars, jam containers, cosmetics or bakery products. They are also commonly used for branding labels, promotional stickers and marketing labels.

In our production we can also create labels in completely custom or irregular shapes that perfectly match the shape of your product or packaging.

Custom shape labels are visually more distinctive and often stand out more on retail shelves compared to standard shapes. These labels are produced using precise die-cut or CNC cutting technology which allows exact cutting along the contour of the graphic design.

Most common label shapes

When printing self-adhesive roll labels you can choose from various shapes adapted to your packaging, product or brand design.

  • Rectangular labels – the most common shape for product packaging, bottles and cardboard boxes.
  • Square labels – suitable for cosmetics, food products or smaller packaging.
  • Round labels – often used for jar lids, honey, jams, creams or promotional stickers.
  • Oval labels – elegant labels commonly used for cosmetics, bottles or premium packaging.
  • Custom shape labels – labels cut according to the contour of graphics or logos.

Common label sizes

Besides shape, the label size is also very important. The label dimension should match the size of the packaging and the amount of information displayed.

  • 50 × 30 mm – small labels for cosmetics and promotional products.
  • 60 × 40 mm – frequently used for food packaging.
  • 80 × 50 mm – medium sized product labels.
  • 100 × 60 mm – larger labels for bottles and packaging.
  • 120 × 80 mm – labels used for transport packaging.

We can also produce labels in fully custom dimensions that perfectly match your packaging.
