Paper materials for label printing

Self-adhesive paper materials are suitable for printing labels that are applied to products not exposed to demanding conditions or high humidity. Such labels are most commonly used for labeling retail products, packaging, bottles, boxes and various food products.

Paper self-adhesive materials are available with different types of adhesive, such as standard acrylic adhesive, removable adhesive or special adhesive with very high initial tack for products that are already frozen. Thanks to the wide range of materials, these labels are suitable for food labels, packaging and other products where high humidity is not present.

Coated Gloss Paper is one of the most commonly used papers for printing self-adhesive roll labels. It is suitable for direct contact with dry or slightly moist, non-greasy food and allows high-quality colour printing with strong contrast and excellent detail.

Premium Modi White is a recycled paper with a distinctive natural felt texture. It is made from 100% recycled fibres (50% PCW and 50% PRE) and provides good water resistance and stability even in cold environments. Because of these characteristics, it is very suitable for printing labels for bottles and other packaging products.

The environmentally friendly self-adhesive material Nature Fieno is an excellent choice for products where a natural packaging appearance is important. It is often used for health and personal care products, cosmetics, handmade soaps or organic food products.

Frequently asked questions about label materials (FAQ)

Which material is suitable for cosmetics, oils and water?

For products such as cosmetics, gels, oils and cleaning products, we recommend PP (polypropylene) – white or transparent. It is a durable synthetic material that maintains stability even in demanding usage conditions.

Such labels are resistant to moisture, oils and chemicals and ensure strong adhesion even on PE and PP packaging. Due to their wide temperature resistance range, they are suitable for everyday products as well as more demanding applications.

Which material should I choose for food and general packaging?

For food, logistics and retail, the most balanced choice is semi-gloss paper, which provides high print contrast and excellent readability even for smaller elements.

It is a cost-effective solution that performs well across a wide range of products where extreme conditions such as moisture, oils or mechanical stress are not present.

Which material is best for wine and beer?

For wine, craft beer and other premium beverages, we recommend textured design papers that give the product a premium and natural appearance.

These materials feature a subtle texture, good moisture resistance and maintain their appearance even in refrigerators or ice buckets. They are an excellent choice for projects where visual presentation plays a key role in sales.

Which material is the most durable?

The highest level of durability is provided by synthetic materials (PP, PET), which are designed for demanding environments. They are resistant to moisture, chemicals, UV exposure and mechanical damage, making them ideal for industrial use, cosmetics and products exposed to external conditions.

Are labels suitable for low temperatures?

Yes, but it is important to select the right combination of material and adhesive. Paper materials usually allow application from around 0 °C, while synthetic solutions perform well at lower temperatures. For freezing or very low temperatures, special materials and adhesives are recommended.

What does permanent adhesive mean?

Permanent adhesive means that once applied, the label remains permanently attached and cannot be removed without damage. This solution is suitable for most packaging, logistics and products where long-term durability of labeling is required.

How can I test the right material before ordering?

Since materials can behave differently depending on packaging and usage conditions, we recommend a sample label print. This allows you to test adhesion, durability and the final appearance under real conditions before placing a larger order.
