10.09.2016 Folded flyer as a Promotional Tool

A common promotional material that many companies use effectively for their promotion is a BROCHURE.

The advantage of a brochure is primarily that it allows companies to present themselves and their business thoroughly due to the large amount of space it offers. It is desirable to include photographic material as well, as without it, it may seem too dry, which could prevent you from achieving the desired effect with customers.

The choice of paper is also key when it comes to brochures. The decision depends on several factors, such as the print run, purpose, usage, and visual effect...

Every brochure is a story on its own, so there is no universal recommendation that applies to all types of brochures.

As the name suggests, a brochure refers to a printed material that is folded. The brochure can be folded once, twice, or multiple times, depending on the design you have envisioned.

The folds are done mechanically, which not only saves time but also ensures that all prints are folded in the same place. In printing terminology, we refer to five basic folding methods: C, Z, V, Gate, Concertina (accordion), and Cross Fold.

Preparing the file for printing brochures
It is important to understand that high-quality printing is not enough if certain basic rules are not followed when designing the brochure.

Prepare the file in the correct format, ensuring that your graphics are properly placed, and be careful not to position elements like text too close to the folding area. The print file should include crop marks, and ensure that text is positioned at least 5 mm away from the crop marks (Margins).
