Hmm … Which paper should I choose?
So, the text for the promotional material is finished, the designer has prepared the graphic design of the print, and now there's just the final step – printing. Even though you feel that the most challenging part of the process from concept to print is behind you, it often gets tricky at the very end, particularly when it comes to choosing the paper for your promotional material.

Coated, uncoated, maybe recycled?
90% of our clients opt for printing promotional materials on high-quality, uncoated, smooth matte paper, while only a few decide to use glossy coated paper.

It’s important to know that the visual difference between coated matte and gloss paper is minimal, especially when it comes to large areas of color coverage on the print.

Then there’s the uncoated, wood-free offset paper with excellent surface characteristics, which is the right choice for printed materials that will be written on, such as certificates, cards, letterhead, and also for books, catalogs, magazines, photo albums, greeting cards, invitations, children’s literature, and textbooks.

If you’re environmentally conscious, you’ll definitely choose recycled paper made from 100% renewable fibers.

The natural shade without optical brightening agents is a suitable choice for prints with large areas of text combined with bright images, such as greeting cards and invitations, books, and various publications.

Recommended paper weight for printed materials
Once you’re deciding on the paper weight, you’re already on the right path to submitting your order to the printer. Of course, everyone has their own taste and preferences. Some may like a flyer printed on 130g paper, while others may find that insufficient and want it printed on 250g paper.

For some printed materials, such as flyers, posters, business cards, gift certificates, and brochures, the range of options is wide. However, there are recommendations for certain printed materials that should be followed to achieve high-quality prints.

If you’re in doubt, feel free to call us, and we’ll be happy to advise you on the paper choice for your next project.
